Thread all the way through, so there’s no print on top to crack or peel.
Where it started
one silly photo.
Our first throw was a black-and-white photo of the two of us pulling faces, woven for a sofa that needed cheering up.
Friends asked for one. Then their friends did. It turns out a lot of people have a photo they’d rather wrap around themselves than scroll past.
So we built a way for anyone to design their own, from a photo or just a few words, in a style or none at all, see it in thread in about a minute, and approve it on screen before anything is made.
Why woven
outlasts
A printed blanket is a picture sitting on fabric. A woven throw is a picture made of fabric.
Every color in your throw is its own thread, woven over and under thousands of times. So the picture is part of the cloth itself, and there’s no print sitting on top of it to crack, peel or wash out.
Then, a needle

People kept asking for something for the armchair, the dorm, the dog bed. So we learned to embroider.
The Embroidered Pillow starts the same way: your photo, and a design you see and approve on screen before anything is made. Then your portrait is embroidered onto natural linen, with a name underneath if you like.
